RESTOCKING HAS BEEN BENEFICAIL

Populations of golden perch in the Kerang lakes have been boosted by restocking, a Victorian Fisheries has reported.

The preliminary results have suggested that more than 45% of golden perch captured in the survey were stocked fish, but they do vary from lake to lake.

This survey has been ongoing for the past five years and anglers are encouraged to assist with the study by reporting the capture of tagged fish to Fisheries Victoria.
